I know that Ralph covered the day pretty extensively in his blog, so I won't repeat what he said. The highlight of the day was clearly visiting the Eastern portion of the Great Wall. Alson and I visited the western most outpost last year. It was a very strenuous walk up the wall. Think climbing a very step stair case for a half mile, say about a 30 degree grade on average. Then, just when we got to the place we figured most tourists stop, we see the stairs climbing yet again and disappearing over the next ridge. This was not the gentle climbing pathway I have seen on countless TV shows. After our rest, we went to dinner. The Peking Duck dinner will happen tomorrow night. Instead, we had to settle for the worst floor show of Chinese Opera that I have ever witnessed. No to worry, we will make sure you get to partake in some of our video. Bob
