We arrived in Shanghai early in the morning. The typical TravelQeust rallying cry of “Bags out at 4:00…” could be heard echoing the halls of our hotel in Beijing. Stumbling out of the airport in Shanghai, we were treated to a cool ride on the MagLift train to downtown Shanghai. However, it was over very quickly – 7 minutes to be precise as we ramped up to 431 km/hr.
After a tour of the downtown region and going up the Oriental Pearl Tower, where you can look straight down from about 75 floors up. That night we took a boat tour of the Huangpu River where we got a spectacular view of the skyline. When we got back, we were so tired that we forgot to open the curtains and take in the view from our room on the 30th floor.
